Kingdom Disciples

Following his baptism in the Jordan, the voice from heaven identified Jesus as the Son of God and the Servant of Yahweh . The theme of fulfillment is prominent in Matthew’s gospel. In Jesus of Nazareth, the promises of God have found their prophesied fulfillments. He is the Son of God, the one who is destined to rule the nations of the Earth, albeit in unexpected and unprecedented ways.

It explains the background and meaning of the Hebrew name of God,  Yahweh , and the key reasons why it has been lost to a great many Christians over the centuries.

The Good News announced by Jesus of Nazareth offers salvation and life to the men and women of every nation . After his resurrection, Jesus declared that “ all authority in heaven and on earth is given to me; therefore, go and make disciples of all nations !” Thus, he sent his disciples to announce his lordship and salvation to “ the ends of the Earth .” Christ’s  life-giving  message must be announced to all men and in every nation under heaven.

Salvation and Redemption are found in no other name than ‘Jesus’. He alone achieved victory over Sin, Satan, and Death . Jesus of Nazareth declared: “ All authority in heaven and on earth is given to me, therefore, go and make disciples of all nations .” He sent his disciples to announce the salvation purchased by his death to the “ ends of the Earth .” The Age of Salvation commenced with his Death and Resurrection; therefore, his  life-giving  message must be announced to all men. The Son of God has achieved salvation for his people!

‘Jésus’ signifie “Yahvé sauve.” Dans l'homme de Nazareth, le salut promis par le Dieu d'Abraham est arrivé . 'Jesus’ means “Yahweh saves.” In the man of Nazareth, the salvation promised by the God of Abraham has arrived . The child carried by Mary was “ begotten of the Holy Spirit ,” and Joseph was instructed to name this child ‘Jesus’: “ Call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins .” The name announced by the angel pointed to the saving act of God that was about to unfold in history – (Matthew 1:20-23).

The fullness, grace, and truth of God are found only in the Word that became flesh, namely, Jesus of Nazareth  – John 1:14-18. The Prologue of the  Gospel of John  introduces key themes that are expanded in the book, including  Life ,  Light ,  Witness ,  Truth , and  Grace .  Jesus is the light of the world, the source of grace and truth, the true tabernacle, and the only born Son of God who dwells in “ the bosom of the Father .” Moreover, only Jesus is qualified to interpret the unseen God since he alone has seen Him.
